Want to talk about true identity formation?
Oh no, wait! It's Heidi Montage and her “man” Spencer Pratt. How could one be mistaken...I mean, Heidi is almost as plastic as Barbie and I'm pretty sure Spencer shares the same hairstyle and outfit as Ellen herself. The difference between Spencer and Ellen is that Ellen has made her name known through her comedy acts and popular TV show. Where as Spencer has made his name in the media by being a douche bag on the TV series The Hills. The difference between Heidi and Barbie is that Barbie makes twice as much money as Heidi and was made of plastic way before Heidi was. On top of that at least Barbies' hair was originally blonde, where as Heidi's not so much....she could have died it a little more subtle than platinum blonde. Ok so hairstyles are everything these days, to bald Britney Spears to Heidi with her long fake locks. To women hairSTYLE is a STYLE. It is subjectively something that we match with our clothes and usually keep to a length longer than a shoulders. I mean hey, women's hair length can portray so much about the individual, it's a symbol of femininity and beauty. We all know Heidi isn't after any ones job in the work place with her lengthy hair, so why the long locks? Davis states that men grow nervous around women in the work place with short hair, presumptuously because the women remind the men of themselves and believe they are going to steal their jobs. The only thing Heidi Prat might steal is Barbies shiny pink car.
At least Barbies' man Ken, is clean cut with short hair, like Danesi presented in his book a clean cut man goes perfectly well with a REAL women.
The poor man behind the two is just thinking, don't look, don't look! The sight of both of them is so horrible that you can't look away. The man is doing everything in his power not to stare at the train wreck. I mean, I would stare too, with those bedazzled gem socks Heidi is wearing. Is it hot or cold out? Long socks, a mini dress accented with a fur coat. I'm confused what the weather is like outside...
